Create stiffeners at two locations on hull panel

Prerequisite

  • Add the hull panels to the 3D view before creating the stiffeners.

You can create stiffeners at two locations on a hull panel and choose which stiffeners to keep. In the example procedure, the stiffener is created along the X axis of a curved panel.

  1. On the Hull Design tab, in the Create group, select the arrow icon below Stiffener to show the submenu.

  2. In the submenu, select At Plane.

  3. In the 3D view, select the hull panels.

  4. Press the Down Arrow, the available options appear.

  5. Select A to Accept the selected panels.

  6. Press the Down Arrow, the available options appear.

  7. Select P to position the stiffener using the plane.

  8. Press the Down Arrow, the available options appear.

  9. Select X to position the stiffener using the X axis.

  10. Select the stiffener position.

  11. Select the part to keep, or press Enter to keep all parts. The kept part is highlighted green in the 3D view.

    The prompt is repeated. You can create multiple stiffeners along the plane and choose which stiffeners to keep.

  12. Press the Down Arrow, the available options appear.

  13. Select A to Accept the previewed stiffeners.

    The application creates the stiffeners at the selected location.
