Create an MTO type

Material Take-Off (MTO) is a list of materials required to build a designed structure or an item. MTO type is a code to represent the type of MTO. Create MTO types which are used to define and maintain piping MTO, general MTO, and site MTO.

Navigate to the s22008 MTO Types screen.

In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.
In the MTO Types grid, a blank row is created.

Enter the relevant details in the following fields:

MTO Type: The unique code to identify an MTO.

Description: The description of the MTO type.

Sequence: The unique numeric sequence for the MTO type. When creating an MTO type in a new project, ensure to create one MTO type with Sequence as 0 and Quality as None. Ensure the Estimate MTO quality sequence is followed by Actual MTO quality sequence. For example, if the highest Estimate MTO quality sequence is 5, then the Actual MTO quality sequence begins with 6 and is followed by 7, 8, and so on.

MTO Quality: The quality of the MTO type. The different qualities are: Actual, Estimate, and None.

(Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s22008 Field descriptions.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The MTO type is created.
