Transfer an item from the source project to another project. When you transfer an item to another project, if the available quantity of the item in the source project becomes lower than the quantity reserved in a picking list, a shipping note, or other documents, then to complete the transfer, ensure you have the Can Break Reservations UI right to the s60021 Move Material Between Projects screen. For more information on how to define UI access rights, see Assign UI rights to a user role.

  1. Navigate to the s60021 Move Material Between Projects screen.

  2. In the Material To Transfer control block, from the Owner Project dropdown, select the ID of the source project.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the Move Material Between Projects grid, select a row.

  5. Select the General tab and perform the following:

    1. In the Quantity field, enter the quantity of the item you want to transfer.

Note: If the value defined in the Quantity field reduces the available quantity of the item in the source project to lower than the quantity reserved in a picking list, a shipping note, or other documents, a pop-up window appears with the details of the item. To complete the transfer, select Continue transferring materials and break reservations.

    2. From the To Project dropdown, select the ID of the project to which you want to transfer the item.

    3. From the To System dropdown, select the ID of the system to which you want to transfer the item.

    4. For the selected item, if the value in the Material Category field is F (Fabricate) or P (Project Components), then from the New Item Id dropdown, select the new item ID for the item in the target project.

In the target project, the Item Id field is automatically updated with the value defined in the New Item Id field.

  6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

The item is transferred to the target project.
