Create a custom action button

Create a custom action button related to a custom entity, a DEXT query, or a Webhook for a screen in AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

Navigate to the s00069 Custom Action Buttons screen.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.
In the Screen Command Configuration grid, a blank row is created.

Select the General tab and perform the following:

In the Button Id field, enter the unique ID of a custom action button.

In the Description field, enter the description of the custom action button.

From the FunctionType dropdown, select one of the following:
-
Custom Entity: To create multiple custom properties for a custom entity.

Dext Query: To create a data extract query related to a screen.

Webhook: To link an event to a custom action button and define the function of the event in a webhook.

From the Screen Id dropdown, select the ID of a screen for which you create the custom action button.

From the Icon Name dropdown, select the name of an icon for the custom action button.

Perform one of the following:

If the value in the FunctionType field is Custom Entity, perform the following:

From the Custom Property dropdown, select the ID of a custom property for which you create the custom action button.

From the Entity Name dropdown, select the ID of an entity for the custom action button.

If the value in the FunctionType field is Dext Query, perform the following:

From the Entity Name dropdown, select the ID of an entity for the custom action button.

From the Data extraction query dropdown, select the ID of a data extraction query for the custom action button.

If the value in the FunctionType field is Webhook, from the Extension Name dropdown, select the name of an extension for the custom action button.

(Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s00069 Field descriptions.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The custom action button is created.
In the context menu of the selected screen, you can view the new custom action button.
