Create a project component

A project component is a material specific to a particular project and you cannot use the project component in any other project.

1. Navigate to the s20010 Project Components screen.

2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

4. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Project Component grid, a blank row is created.

5. Select the General 1 tab and perform the following:

   1. In the Component Code field, enter the unique code of a project component.

   2. In the Description field, enter the description of the project component.

   3. From the Unit dropdown, select the primary unit of measure for the project component.

   4. From the Material Special Group dropdown, select the required material special group concept related to the project component.

6. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s20010 Field descriptions.

7. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The project component is created.
