Common fields in the screen

Field

Description

SI

Status Indicator: Indicates the status of a record related to validation errors, warnings, and updates.

Defined By

The ID of a user who created a record.

Defined At

The date and time when a record was created.

Updated By

The ID of a user who updated a record.

Updated At

The date and time when a record was updated.

Purposes grid

The following table describes the fields in the General tab.

Field

Description

Id

The unique ID of a material summary purpose related to a project. If a material summary purpose has a defined project, you can use the same ID of the material summary purpose across other projects.

Project

The ID of a project related to a material summary purpose.

Description

The description of a material summary purpose.

Status

Indicates the status of a material summary purpose. If the Status checkbox is selected, the material summary purpose is available for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

System

Indicates a material summary purpose, created by default when installing AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management, is used for a specific purpose by the system. If the System checkbox is selected for a material summary purpose, you cannot delete the material summary purpose.

Apply WS & C

Indicates you can apply working surplus and contingency rules to the materials related to a material summary purpose.

Available for MR

Indicates you can use a material summary related to a material summary purpose for requisitioning. If the Available for MR checkbox is selected, you can link the material summary to a material requisition in the s40001 Requisition Register screen.

Discipline Required

Indicates you have to split the material summaries related to a material summary purpose by an engineering discipline. When you define a discipline for a material summary, you can only assign part lists or Material Take-Offs (MTOs) related to the discipline to the material summary. If the Discipline Required checkbox is selected, ensure you define a discipline for a material summary in the s21026 Material Summaries screen.

Revisions with full MTO/Part List history

Indicates whether the history of a material summary related to a material summary purpose contains information of all revisions or the latest revision of the material summary. There are two values:

  • All: The history of a material summary contains all revisions of the material summary.

  • Latest Only: The history of a material summary contains only the latest revision of the material summary.

    The revision includes material summary details such as the list of MTOs or part lists assigned to the material summary, material summary header attributes, and aggregated material quantities.

Material Requirements to Include

Indicates whether the MTO or part list assigned to a material summary related to a material summary purpose can include items that are approved or unapproved for purchase. The values are:

  • Current Working Qty: The MTO or part list contain the working quantity of all items that match the criteria of the summary defined in the s21026 Material Summaries screen.

  • Approved for Requisitioning: The MTO or part list contain the approved quantity of all items that are flagged for requisitioning and that match the criteria of the summary defined in the s21026 Material Summaries screen.

  • Current Approved Qty: The MTO or part list contain the approved quantity of all items that match the criteria of the summary defined in the s21026 Material Summaries screen.

Check for Duplicates

Indicates you cannot assign an MTO or a part list to multiple material summaries related to the same material summary purpose.

Check All Include in Project

Indicates you have to assign all MTOs or part lists in a project to at least one material summary related to a material summary purpose.
