Create a group of default units of measure used in a project. You can assign multiple unit of measure categories for the group and assign a default unit of measure for each unit of measure category. You can use the unit of measure defaults when you create a project in the s10001 Projects screen.
For example, for a project, if the unit of measure category is Length, you can define the default unit of measure as meters (m). As a result, in the same project, when you create a material with the unit of measure category defined as Length, then meters (m) is automatically selected as the default unit of measure for the material.
