Copy a standard VDRS to a project

Copy a standard Vendor Deliverable Requirements Schedule (VDRS) from a source project to a target project.

  1. Navigate to the s40006 Standard VDRS screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the Standard VDRS grid, select a row.

  5. On the s40006 menu, in the Actions group, select Copy To Project.

    The d0138 Copy To Project dialog appears.

  6. From the Target Project dropdown, select the ID of the target project.

  7. (Optional) In the Options section, perform any of the following:

    • To include the inactive standard VDRS in the copy, select the Include Inactive Standard VDRS checkbox.

    • To include the reference data related to a standard VDRS in the copy, select the Include Reference Data checkbox.

  8. In the Project Standard Vdrs Texts to copy section, select one of the following:

    • All: To copy all the standard VDRS from the source project to the target project.

    • Selected: To copy only the selected standard VDRS from the source project to the target project.

  9. To validate the part list copy, select Test.

    A pop-up window displaying the test result appears.

  10. Perform one of the following as required:

    • If the validation is successful, select Ok.

      The pop-up window closes.

    • If the validation is not successful, select Ok, and select the Details tab for more information. Perform the necessary actions and validate the copy again.

  11. Select Copy.

    The number of standard VDRS that are copied, not copied, and included in the copy are listed in the Summary tab. For more information, see the Details tab.

    The standard VDRS is copied from the source project to the target project.

  12. To close the d0138 Copy to Project dialog, select Exit.

  13. (Optional) To modify the copied standard VDRS according to your requirements, perform the following:

    • In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the target project.

    • To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

    • In the Standard VDRS grid, select the copied standard VDRS, and then modify according to your requirements.

    • To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
