Copy a project compartment to a project

Copy one or more project compartments from the source project to a target project.

1. Navigate to the s21003 Project Compartments screen.

2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select a project ID.

3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

4. In the Project Compartments grid, select a row.

5. On the s21003 menu, in the Actions group, select Copy Compartments.

   The d0028 Copy Compartment to Project dialog appears.

6. From the Target Project dropdown, select the project to which you want to copy the project compartment.

7. In the Options section, select one of the following:

   • Copy Selected Compartments: To copy only the selected project compartment defined for the source project to the target project.

   • Copy All Compartments: To copy all project compartments defined for the source project to the target project.

8. (Optional) To copy inactive project compartments from the source project to the target project, in the Options section, select the Include Inactive Compartments checkbox.

9. To validate the project compartment copy, select Test.

   A pop-up window with the test result appears.

10. Perform one of the following as required:

    • If the validation is successful, select Ok.

      The pop-up window closes.

    • If the validation is not successful, select Ok, and select the Details tab for more information. Perform the necessary actions and validate the copy again.

11. Select Copy.

    The number of project compartments that are copied, not copied, and included in the copy are listed in the Summary tab. For more information, see the Details tab.

    The project compartment is copied from the source project to the target project.

12. To close the d0028 Copy Compartment to Project dialog, select Exit.

13. (Optional) To modify the project compartment copy according to your requirements, perform the following:

    1. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the project ID of the target project.

    2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

    3. In the Project Compartments grid, select the project compartment copy, and modify according to your requirements.

    4. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

       The changes to the project compartment copy are saved.
