Create a TMR issue purpose

The s50044 TMR Issue Purpose screen contains four predefined issue purposes for a Technical Material Requisition (TMR):

  • RFQ And Purchase (Both or Either): The TMR is issued for enquiry, purchase, or both. You can create a Request For Quote (RFQ), a Purchase Order (PO), or both for the issued TMR.

  • Purchase: The TMR is issued only for purchase. You can create a PO for the issued TMR, but you cannot create an RFQ.

  • RFQ Only: The TMR is issued only for enquiry. You can create an RFQ for the issued TMR, but you cannot create a PO.

  • Engineering: The TMR is not issued for enquiry or purchase. You cannot create an RFQ or a PO for the issued TMR.

To create a TMR issue purpose

  1. Navigate to the s50044 TMR Issue Purpose screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

    In the TMR Issue Purpose grid, a blank row is created.

  4. Select the General tab and enter the relevant details in the following fields:

    • Id: The unique ID of a TMR issue purpose.

    • Description: The description of the TMR issue purpose.

  5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s50044 Field descriptions.

  6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The TMR issue purpose is created.
