External links from the navigation pane

In the Navigation pane, define a customized menu format to allow direct links within AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management to other applications.

Customize the location of the links to allow for a user-friendly menu format. These links take you directly to the application either within or outside of AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

The supported placeholder elements required by constraints are shown below:

• Username: {{user}}

• Username with domain: {{user-domain}}

• Date - now: {{now}}

• Id of UI: {{ui-id}}

• Title of UI: {{ui-title}}

The links in the menu entries are stored in database table. The system administrator defines these entries directly through the database.

Examples of how the entries are structured is shown in the following figure.

Note: The parameters are formatted according to JSON. In the example , file paths are formatted like "C:\\Program Files\\...". External links are available after you restart the client.
