Update a report or a DextQuery schedule

If a schedule is of type Report or DextQuery, you can update the report or data extract parameters and the recurrence pattern of the schedule.

  1. Navigate to the s12027 Scheduler screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. On the s12027 menu, select Update Schedule.

    The w007 Schedule Document wizard appears.

  4. In the Select the Document to generate page, select the required report or data extract, and select Next.

  5. In the Specify Report/Data Extract Parameters page, select the required parameters, and select Next.

  6. In the Schedule when the Document is to be generated page, perform the following:

    1. To specify how frequently the document should be generated, in the Recurrence Pattern section, select one of the following:

      • Minute

        • In the Recur every minute(s) field, enter the recurrence interval in minutes.

      • Hourly

        • In the Recur every hour(s) field, enter the recurrence interval in hours.

      • Daily

        • In the Run At field, enter the time of the day when the scheduled should be executed.

        • From the Time zone dropdown, enter the timezone in which you defined the schedule.

        • In the Recur every day(s) field, enter the recurrence interval in days.

      • Weekly

        • In the Run At field, enter the time of the day when the scheduled should be executed.

        • From the Time zone dropdown, enter the timezone in which the schedule is defined.

        • In the Recur every week(s) field, enter the recurrence interval in weeks.

        • In the On days area, select the required weekdays.

      • Monthly

        • In the Run At field, enter the time of the day when the schedule should be executed.

        • From the Time zone dropdown, enter the timezone in which the schedule is defined.

        • Perform one of the following:

          • To set up the day of the month, enter the day of the month the document should be generated and the monthly interval between document generations.

          • To set up the weekday occurrence in months, enter a weekday occurrence within a month (example: The Second Wednesday, The First Monday, The Last Friday, and so on), and enter the monthly interval between document generations.

      • Yearly

        • In the Run At field, enter the time of the day when the schedule should be executed.

        • From the Time zone dropdown, enter the timezone in which the schedule is defined.

        • In the Recur every year(s) field, enter the recurrence interval in years.

        • Perform one of the following:

          • To set up a specific date, enter the day of the month and the name of the month.

          • To set up the weekday occurrence in a specific month, enter a weekday occurrence within a month (example: The Second Wednesday of January, The First Monday of March, The Last Friday of October, and so on).

    2. In the Range of Recurrence section, from the Start at dropdown, select the start date for the schedule.

    3. Perform one of the following:

      • To generate documents without an end date, select No end date, and select Next.

      • To specify the end date for the schedule, from the End by dropdown, select a date, and then select Next.

  7. In the Specify Output page, perform one of the following:

    • To send the document generated by the schedule as an email to one or more email recipients, perform the following:

      1. In the Output section, select Email Recipient(s).

      2. From the File Format dropdown, select the format for the document. Based on the type of document generated (report or data extract), the supported file types are PDF, Excel, CSV, JSON, EIWM, and XML.

      3. In the Details section, enter the relevant details in the Recipient, CC, Subject, and Text fields.

      4. Select Finish.

      1. To save the document generated by the schedule in a file system in one of the staging areas, perform the following:

        1. In the Output section, select File system.

        2. From the File Format dropdown, select the format for the document. Based on the type of document generated (report or data extract), the supported file types are PDF, Excel, CSV, JSON, EIWM, and XML.

        3. In the Details section, from the Export Staging Area dropdown, select the required staging area.

        4. Select Finish.

        The selected schedule is updated.
