Set a default position number increment for a line type to use in procurement documents. For example, if you select a line type in the Sub-Items field and set the PA Pos Increment field value as 1, and if you add two line items of the selected line type in the Purchase Agreement (PA) document, the position numbers of the added line items are set at 1 and 2 respectively.
If you update the default position number of existing line types in a procurement document, the changes are only applicable for new line items added after the update. Additionally, you can renumber the position of the line items with new increments:
-
To renumber Technical Material Requisition (TMR) positions, see Renumber TMR positions.
-
To renumber Request For Quote (RFQ) positions, see Renumber RFQ positions.
-
To renumber Purchase Order (PO) positions, see Renumber PO positions.
