Create an action for a work item

Create an action required for a non-conformance work item, for example, rework required, documentation change, error correction, and so on.

Navigate to the s61011 Work Item Overview screen.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

In the Work Item grid, select a row.

Select anywhere in the Action grid.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.
In the Action grid, a row is created.

Select the General tab and perform the following:

From the Type dropdown, select the ID of the action type related to the work item.

From the Department dropdown, select the ID of the department responsible for handling the action.

From the Deadline dropdown, select the date by when the action is due for completion.

Select the Text tab, in the Description field, enter the description of the action.

(Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s61011 Field descriptions.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The action is created for the work item.
