Update the external status of a hull material

When you create a hull plate or hull profile material, the default External Status of the material is Preliminary. To use the material in other screens, change the status to Fully Validated.

1. Navigate to the s30017 Hull Plate and Profile Catalogue screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. In the Hull Plate and Profile Catalogue grid, select a row.

4. On the s30017 menu, in the Status group, from the External Status dropdown, select one of the following:

   • Preliminary: Indicates the default status of a hull material. At the Preliminary stage, the material is not available for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

   • Fully Validated: Indicates the material is available for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

   • Not to be Used: Indicates the material is not available for use due to a temporary restriction (the supply of material is restricted or alternatives are being evaluated) or a permanent hold (the material is obsolete). If the material is already assigned to a Part List (PL) or a Purchase Order (PO), you can continue to use the material. However, the material is not available for addition to any new PL or PO.

   • Ready For Delete: Indicates you can delete the material in case a clean up of the reference data is performed. At the Ready For Delete stage, the material is not available for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

5. (Optional) To revert the status update, on the s30017 menu, in the Status group, select Revert.

6. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
