Troubleshooting for AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management Desktop Client

If AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management client cannot start correctly:

  • Ensure that SERVERHOST and SERVERPORT is configured correctly. Ensure that SERVERPORT points to the net.tcp port (default 92xx) and not to the HTTP port (default 93xx).

  • Ensure network connectivity from the client machine to the configured server and port, and verify that no firewall rules restrict the connection.

  • Ensure the client log files are located in C:\ProgramData\AvevaErm\Logs\Client.

If AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management client cannot open help files:

  • Ensure network connectivity from the client machine to the configured HTTP port (93xx), or to the configured network share if a custom help file location is used instead of the default path.

If AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management client fails to log on due to an authentication error and gets an error message similar to the following: "The user account used on the client <client-username> does not match the credentials detected on the server <wcf-username>. The problem can occur when accessing network resources using different credentials. Please log in by providing username and password.".

To resolve the issue, map a network drive from the application server on the client machine and configure the network drive connection to use the client credentials.

  1. Right-select the shared folder on the application server and select Map network drive.

  2. Select the Reconnect at sign-in and Connect using different credentials checkbox.

  3. Enter the same credentials used for logging in the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management client.
