Create a BoQ template

Assign product codes to a BoQ template to create an automatic Bill of Quantity (BoQ). The calculation of the work required includes all the product codes that are a part of a BoQ header.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

• In the s70005 Product Codes and Norms screen, in the Product Codes and Norms grid, in the General tab, ensure values are selected for the Contributing Property and the Contributing Unit fields.

• In the s70015 Product Codes Assignment screen, ensure a BoQ rule filter is created.

To create a BoQ template

1. Navigate to the s21030 Bill Of Quantity screen.

2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

4. In the Bill Of Quantity grid, select a row.

5. Select the Template tab and select anywhere in the grid.

6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Template tab, a row is created.

7. From the Product Code Header dropdown, select the ID of a product code header for a BoQ template.

8. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The BoQ template is created.
