Register a variance of type shortage for a delivery note position from w015

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

For a delivery note, in the Delivery Note grid, in the General tab, perform the following:
1. In the Rec Type field, ensure the value is not Shipping Note Receipt.
2. In the Receipt Status field, ensure the value is not RECEIVED.
For a delivery note, in the Position grid, perform one of the following:
- For a delivery note of receipt type Free Receipt, in the Free Issue Material tab, in the Free Issue Material grid, in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.
- For a delivery note of receipt type PO/MMT Receipt, in the Po Items tab, in the Po items grid, in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.

To register a variance of type shortage for a delivery note from w015

Navigate to the s60028 Stock item Delivery Registration screen.
To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.
In the Delivery Note grid, select a row.
On the s60028 menu, in the Position Details group, from the Variances dropdown, select View all variances.

The w015 Variance Overview wizard appears.
In the Variance Overview page, select New.

The Selected Variance Type page appears.
Select Shortage, and then select Next.

The Select Receipt Line Item page appears.
In the grid, select a row.

For the selected row, in the Variance Overview page, ensure a variance of type shortage is not defined.

The Shortage Details page appears.
In the Counted Qty field, enter the arrived quantity of the item.

If the value in the Counted Qty field is less than the value in the Supplier Qty field, then a value appears in the Shortage field.
Select Finish.

The Variance Overview page appears.

In the grid, the MNC registered as a variance appears.

For the selected delivery note position, the variance of type shortage is registered.
