Character set support

AL32UTF8 is the supported character set in the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management Database Server, which allows storage of all characters, both single and multi-byte. You can localise the server messages and others by changing the NLS_LANG database setup parameter.

Hardware

The hardware is divided into small, medium, large and extra-large setups. For special requirements, contact AVEVA support.

X-Large (< 400 simultaneous users)	Cores/vCPUs: 8/16 Memory: 64 GB Disk space: 300 GB 50000 IOPS

Software

An Oracle Database Standard Edition 2, Enterprise Edition, 19.18.0.0 (64-bit), patch number 34765931 or higher is required. The software certified on version 19.27, patch number 37642901 (April Update 2025) is required.

Configuration

The sizing of the server is dependent on the number of concurrent AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management users, the number of running Oracle instances, and another software and user communities using the server. For assistance in sizing a system, contact AVEVA support.

In a production environment, archivelog is enabled on the database server, with backups performed at least daily.
