Create a material special group

Use a material special group to group materials and to add material specific information for each group. Each group is related to a material special group concept, which is predefined in the s20009 Material Special Group Concepts screen.

1. Navigate to the s20002 Material Special Group screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Material Special Groups grid, a blank row is created.

4. Select the General tab and perform the following:

   • In the Material Special Group field, enter the unique code to identify a material special group.

   • In the Description field, enter the description of the material special group.

   • From the Material Special Group Concept dropdown, select the code of the required material special group concept. For more information on material special group concepts, see s20009 Material Special Group Concepts.

5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s20002 Field descriptions.

6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The material special group is created.
