Each AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management client instance is installed and upgraded independently. A Test client instance is one or more versions ahead of a Production instance. When you install multiple client instances on the same computer, the system provides access to different databases or application servers.
The client installers contains the same underlying code base and differ only in the installer and instance names. Client instance names are not technically dependent on server environment names. For example, a client instance labeled Prod is configured to connect to a server named Live.
To minimize installer file size, all client installers share a common file named ErmMedia.cab, which is required to be located in the same directory as the .msi installer for the installation to function correctly.
