Allocate a transport package to another package

Add a transport package with status Closed to another package. If a package is delivered to the site, allocated to another transport package, or allocated to a shipment, then the package is not available for allocation.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, complete the following:

In the Package grid, in the General tab, ensure the value in the Package Status field of the transport package is Closed.

Ensure the package is not allocated to another package.

You can allocate a package only at the highest level in the hierarchy, you cannot allocate a package within a parent package to another package.
To allocate a transport package to another package

Navigate to the s51010 Transport Package screen.

In the Project Selection control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

In the Package grid, select a row.

On the s51010 menu, in the Allocate packages group, select Allocate Packages.
The d0265 Package Allocation dialog appears.

To refresh the dialog, select the F5 key.

In the Package grid, select one or more rows, and then select the Enter key.
In the Allocated Package grid, the selected packages appear.

Select Insert.
In the Items grid, the allocated packages appear.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The transport packages are allocated to the transport package selected in the Package grid.
