Set a reminder for a PO position

To follow-up on the delivery status of a Purchase Order (PO) position, you can set a reminder and a delivery reminder. A reminder is sent before the expected delivery date of the item in a PO position to confirm on-time delivery, whereas a delivery reminder is sent on or after the expected delivery date if the item in a PO position is not delivered yet.

In the Purchase Order Header grid, in the General tab, in the Internal status field, ensure the value is Create/Change.

  1. Navigate to the s51001 Delivery Control screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. In the Purchase Order Header grid, select a row.

  4. In the Purchase Order Position grid, select a row.

  5. On the s51001 menu, in the Options group, select Delivery Control Options.

    The d0061 Delivery Control Options dialog appears.

  6. In the d0061 Delivery Control Options dialog, in the Reminder Administration section, perform the following:

    1. To send a reminder for the selected PO position, perform the following:

      1. Select the Send Reminder checkbox.

      2. In the Reminder Days (Before Delivery) field, enter the number of days before the forecast delivery date to send a reminder to a supplier.

      1. To send a delivery reminder for the selected PO position, perform the following:

        1. Select the Send Delivery Reminder checkbox.

        2. In the Delivery Reminder Days (After Delivery) field, enter the number of days after the forecast delivery date to send a delivery reminder to a supplier, if the ordered item is not delivered yet.

      2. (Optional) In the Reason for Changes field, enter the reason for the changes made to the selected PO position.

      3. (Optional) To reset the changes, select Reset.

      4. To save the changes and close the d0061 Delivery Control Options dialog, select Update Selected Line Items.

        In the Purchase Order Position grid, in the General tab, the values in the Reminder Days (Before Delivery) and the Delivery Reminder Days (After Delivery) fields are updated.

      5. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
