Assign a user for a resource

If a resource is of type production group, you can assign a user to the resource. For a resource, in the Resources grid, in the General tab, in the Resource Type field, ensure the value is PRODUCTION GROUP.

1. Navigate to the s00021 Resource Definition screen.

2. In the Control Block, perform one of the following:

   • To assign a user to a global resource, select Global.

   • To assign a user to a project specific resource, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

4. In the Resources section, select the ID of a resource.

5. In the Resources grid, select the Responsible Users tab.

6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Responsible Users tab, a row is created.

7. From the Resp. User dropdown, select the ID of the user responsible for the production group.

8. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The user is assigned for the selected resource.
