Hardware and Operating system

The Supplier Portal is designed for horizontal scalability, however the current feature set does not indicate high load from large numbers of simultaneous users. Therefore, a setup where the Supplier Portal is deployed on a single application server similar to the Small AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management Application Server is recommended.

Setup type

Minimum Requirements

Recommended

  • Cores/vCPUs: 4/8

  • Memory: 16 GB

  • Disk space: 80 GB

  • Operating System: Windows Server 2022 or higher.

Software

The required softwares are as follows:

  • Microsoft .NET framework 4.8.1

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) 10.0 or higher.

Configuration

The AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management environments are generally available only on secured internal networks, however the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management supplier portal required internet accessibility and therefore the supplier portal is protected using standard industry measures.

An example setup is illustrated in the below figure.

For a setup in production, it is recommended to at least consider the following:

  • The Supplier Portal is deployed in a DMZ.

    • The back-end firewall allows traffic from the Supplier Portal in the DMZ to reach the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management application server and the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management database.

    • The front-end firewall allows traffic to reach the Supplier Portal in the DMZ.

      • To reduce the number of possible attack vectors, the front-end firewall is configured with a white-list of IP-addresses allowed to access the Supplier Portal (i.e. IP-addresses of the suppliers invited to use the system).

  • HTTPS must always be used.

For more configuration details, see Installation Guide.
