Create a stock instance reference code

Use an instance code to reference a specific instance of a material. You can embed an instance code in a barcode for easy tracking and identification of the material.

1. Navigate to the s60044 Stock Instance Reference Codes screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Reference Codes grid, a blank row is created.

4. Select the General tab and perform the following:

   1. In the Instance Reference Code field, enter the unique reference code to identify an instance of a material.

   2. From the Material Category dropdown, select the ID of the required material category.

   3. From the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

   4. From the Item Id dropdown, select the ID of the material for which you want to create the instance reference code.

5. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The stock instance reference code is created.
