Create an MNC category

After you create a Material Non-Conformance (MNC) category, you can relate the MNC category to a picking status. The picking status related to the MNC category is assigned to the MNC in the s60028 Stock item Delivery Registration screen.

1. Navigate to the s60036 MNC Categories screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the MNC Categories grid, a blank row is created.

4. Select the General tab and perform the following:

   • In the Id field, enter the unique ID of an MNC category.

   • In the Description field, enter the description of the MNC category.

   • From the Default Picking Status dropdown, select one of the following:

     • A (Allowed, No Restrictions): Indicates a material related to an MNC category does not have any restrictions and you can include the material with the other materials in the stock.

     • R (Allowed, Restricted): Indicates you can include a material related to an MNC category with the other materials in the stock only after you define the material as a non-conformance material.

     • N (Not Allowed): Indicates you cannot pick a material related to an MNC category for construction. However, you can include the material with the other materials in the stock.

5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s60036 Field descriptions.

6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The MNC category is created.
