Create a legal entity

A legal entity is a company with specific legal responsibilities. Every project created in AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management is related to a legal entity.

1. Navigate to the s00009 Legal Entities screen.

2. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Legal Entities grid, a blank row is created.

3. Select the General tab and perform the following:

   • In the Legal Entity field, enter the unique ID of a legal entity.

   • In the Name field, enter the name of the legal entity.

   • From the Site Id dropdown, select the ID of the required site.

   • In the Address Line1 field, enter the address of the legal entity.

   • In the Postal Code field, enter the postal code or ZIP code related to the address of the legal entity.

   • In the City field, enter the name of a city or a town related to the address of the legal entity.

   • From the Country dropdown, select the ID of a country related to the legal entity.

4. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s00009 Field descriptions.

5. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The legal entity is created.
