Create a user profile

A user is an individual entity with specific roles and responsibilities.

  1. Navigate to the s00003 Users screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

    In the User grid, a blank row is created.

  4. Select the General tab and perform the following:

    • In the User field, enter the unique ID of a user.

    • In the Short Name field, enter the unique short ID of a user.

      The short name is used to identify the user in different documents generated in AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

    • From the Department dropdown, select the ID of a department to assign to the user.

    • From the Legal entity dropdown, select the ID of a legal entity responsible for the user.

  5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s00003 Field descriptions.

  6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The user profile is created.
