When you create a project component, the default Internal Status of the project component is DES. To use the project component in a Request For Quote (RFQ) or a Purchase Order (PO), update the internal status to RFQ or PUR respectively.

  1. Navigate to the s20010 Project Components screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the Project Component grid, select a row.

  5. On the s20010 menu, in the Status group, from the Internal Status dropdown, select one of the following:

    • Design Phase: Indicates the project component is in the design phase. You cannot add the project component to a Technical Material Requisition (TMR), a PO, or an RFQ.

    • Released for RFQ: Indicates the project component is released for enquiry through RFQs. You can add the project component to a TMR or an RFQ, but you cannot add the project component to a PO.

    • Released for Purchase: Indicates the project component is released for procurement and you can add the project component to a PO.

  6. (Optional) To revert the status update, on the s20010 menu, in the Status group, select Revert.

  7. Select the General 1 tab, in the Est Quantity field, enter the estimated quantity of the project component.

The value in the Est Quantity field is used as the initial quantity for the material status calculations in the s50022 Material Status List screen.

  8. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

The Internal Status of the project component is updated.
