When the ID of a fabricate part list matches a template expression defined in the s20026 Fabricate Template screen, you can automatically add items to a fabricate part list.
For example, in the s20026 Fabricate Template screen, you can create a fabricate template with the template expression defined as PSH-{width}-{height}-{length}. Then, in the s21015 Fabricate Part Lists screen, if you create a part list for a fabricate named PSH-200-200-450, you can use the Re-apply Fabricate Template functionality to match the fabricate ID against the template expression and automatically copy all the items in the fabricate template to the fabricate part list.
The system applies fabricate templates in the following order of precedence:
-
Project specific templates: Templates associated with the project defined for the fabricate part list are considered first and applied based on the sequence number.
-
Catalogue specific templates: If no project specific template matches, catalogue specific templates are considered and applied based on the sequence number.
-
Generic templates: If neither project specific nor catalogue specific templates match, generic templates are considered and applied based on sequence number.
