Create a fabricate

A fabricate is a material created from other raw materials, either on site using internal resources or by an external fabricator. A fabricate is specific to a project and you cannot use the fabricate in multiple projects.
You can create fabricates as a replacement for a standard material or a project component. The replacement does not require any changes in the existing part list, material take-off, or delivery request list related to the original material. After the fabricate is designated as a replacement, the fabricate takes over the role of the standard material or the project component that is replaced.
