Split an inspection visit item into multiple line items based on the quantity of items that passed and that did not pass inspection.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

  • In the Inspection Visit grid, in the General tab, ensure the status of the inspection visit is Open.

  • In the Inspection Visit grid, in the General tab, ensure the Release checkbox is cleared.

  • Ensure the inspection visit item is not dispatched.

To split a non-release inspection visit item

  1. Navigate to the s52006 Inspection Visits screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the project related to an inspection visit.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the Inspection Visit grid, select a row.

  5. In the Expedite Items grid, select the Allocated tab, and then select a row.

  6. On the s52006 menu, in the Inspection Options group, select Split Item.

The d5208 Inspection Item Split dialog appears.

  7. Enter the relevant details in the following fields:

    • IRC Quantity: The quantity of items that passed inspection.

    • NRC Quantity: The quantity of items that did not pass inspection.

    • Ensure the addition of the values in the IRC Quantity and the NRC Quantity fields do not exceed the value in the Expedite Quantity field, in the Allocated grid.

  8. Select Ok.

In the Allocated grid, a row is created with the value in the IRC Quantity field updated with the value entered in the IRC Quantity field in the dialog.

In the Allocated grid, a row is created with the value in the NCR Quantity field updated with the value entered in the NRC Quantity field in the dialog.

In the d5208 Inspection Item Split dialog, if the value in the IRC Quantity and the NRC Quantity fields do not add up to the value in the Inspected quantity field, then in the Allocated grid, a row is created and the remaining value is updated in the Expedite Quantity field.

  9. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
