Copy a fabricate to a project

Copy one or more fabricates from a source project to a target project.

  1. Navigate to the s20017 Fabricate Catalogue screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the Fabricate Catalogue grid, select a fabricate you want to copy.

  5. On the s20017 menu, in the Actions group, select Copy Fabricates.

    The d0119 Copy Fabricate to Project dialog appears.

  6. From the Target Project dropdown, select a project ID.

  7. (Optional) In the Options section, perform any of the following:

    • To include the translated descriptions of a fabricate in the copy, select the Include Translated Descriptions checkbox.

    • To include the inactive fabricates in the copy, select the Include Inactive Fabricates checkbox.

  8. In the Fabricates to copy section, select one of the following:

    • All: To copy all fabricates from the source project to the target project.

    • Selected: To copy only the selected fabricates from the source project to the target project.

  9. To validate the fabricate copy, select Test.

    A pop-up window displaying the test result appears.

  10. Perform one of the following as required:

    • If the validation is successful, select OK.

      The pop-up window closes.

    • If the validation is not successful, select OK, and select the Details tab for more information. Perform the necessary actions and validate the copy again.

  11. Select Copy.

    A pop-up window appears.

  12. Select Ok.

    The number of fabricates that are copied, not copied, and included in the copy are listed in the Summary tab. For more information, see the Details tab.

    The fabricate is copied from the source project to the target project.

  13. To close the d0119 Copy Fabricate to Project dialog, select Exit.

  14. (Optional) To modify the copied fabricate according to your requirements, perform the following:

    • In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the project ID of the target project.

    • To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

    • In the Fabricate Catalogue grid, select the copied fabricate, and then modify according to your requirements.

    • To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
