Create a hull profile material

A hull profile is a hull material used in shipbuilding. Create a hull profile material with identification description that include dimension code, quality code, length, thickness, and so on.

  1. Navigate to the s30017 Hull Plate and Profile Catalogue screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

    In the Hull Plate and Profile Catalogue grid, a blank row is created.

  4. Select the General tab and perform the following:

    • From the Material Category dropdown, select PR.

    • In the Hull Material Id field, enter the unique ID to identify a hull profile material.

    • From the Quality Code dropdown, select the ID of a quality standard related to the hull profile material.

    • From the Dimension Code dropdown, select the ID of a dimension code related to the hull profile material.

    • In the L field, enter the length of the hull profile material in millimeters.

    • In the b field, enter the breadth of the hull profile material in millimeters.

    • In the t field, enter the thickness of the hull profile material in millimeters.

    • In the a field, enter the dimension of the hull profile material in millimeters.

    • In the s field, enter the dimension of the hull profile material in millimeters.

    • In the KG/M field, enter the weight of the hull profile material in kilograms per meter.

      The value in the Weight field is generated according to the value entered in the KG/M field.

      The value in the Description field is generated according to the values in the Quality Code, Dimension Code, L, b, t, a, and s fields.

  5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s30017 Field descriptions.

  6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The hull profile material is created.
