The work item in the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management is a part of cross-module component that supports the exchange of important information. Use Work Items to handle all types of communication such as requests, reminders, and so on.

You raise a work item as a result of an interaction with the application. For example, while requesting raw material from the warehouse, you may discover that the required material is unavailable. In this situation, raise a work item to the appropriate department to request approval and initiate procurement for the required material.
