Assign a fabricate to work orders and jobs from a template

Assign a fabricate to work orders and jobs generated from a work order template created in the s70001 Construction Gantt View screen. Use the Generate WO&Jobs From Template functionality to efficiently assign the fabricate to multiple work orders and jobs related to a work package. Ensure a template is created for a construction or a fabrication work package in the s70001 Construction Gantt View screen. For more information, see Create a template for a work package.

  1. Navigate to the s21004 Relate Fabricates to Work Order screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, perform the following:

    1. From the Project dropdown, select the ID of a project related to a fabricate.

    2. From the Activity dropdown, select the ID of a work package related to the work orders and jobs.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. Select the Fabricates tab, in the Fabricates grid, select a row.

  5. In the Sel Qty field, enter the quantity of a fabricate that you want to assign to work orders and jobs.

    Note: When the value in the Sel Qty field exceeds the Working Quantity of the fabricates defined in the s21000 Part List screen, a warning appears indicating that the materials required to construct the fabricate are insufficient.

  6. On the 21004 menu, in the Actions group, select Generate WO&Jobs From Template.

    The d0181 Generate Workorders and Jobs From Template dialog appears.

  7. In the Select Template grid, from the Template dropdown, select a template.

    The work orders and jobs related to the selected template appear in the Contents of selected Template grid.

  8. Select Create.

    A pop-up window with the action result appears.

  9. Select Ok.

  10. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The fabricate is assigned to the work orders and jobs related to the selected template.
