Compare and process an import file

Compare a modified file with an original file and view the data updated in the file. After you compare, you can process the file for import.

Navigate to the s22050 Data Import screen.

In the Import Files Control Block, select the required checkbox.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

In the Import Files grid, select a row.

On the s22050 menu, in the Import group, select Process and Compare.
The d0123 Bulk Import Compare dialog appears.

In the Filter grid, from the Type dropdown, select the type of file you want to import.

(Optional) To view the modified columns, select the Show only changed columns checkbox.

To include a record for import, in the grid, select the Is Included checkbox.
If pre-processors are present before you select the Process and Compare action, the checkbox is not available.

To import the file, select Ok.
The selected file is imported. The new, updated, and deleted entities related to the import are saved.

To export the entities to a Microsoft Excel Workbook in .xlsx format, perform the following:

Select Export to Microsoft Excel.
The Save As dialog appears.

Navigate to the location you want to save the file.

In the File Name field, enter the name of the file, and select Save.
The file is exported and is available at the selected location.
All the new, updated, and deleted entities related to the import file is exported.
