A site allocation rule defines the default setting for the Site field for a Material Take-Off (MTO) item. The site allocation rule uses values defined in specified parameters of an MTO item as input data to allocate the item to a site. You can create a rule based on specific values of an attribute or a range of values for an attribute.

  1. Navigate to the s21019 Site Allocation Setup screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

In the Site Allocation Rules grid, a blank row is created.

  5. In the Site Allocation Rules grid, select the General tab, and perform the following:

    1. In the Sequence No field, enter the required sequence number.

If multiple rules apply to an item, then the value defined in the Sequence No field determines the priority of the rule.

    2. From the Site dropdown, select the ID of the site to assign to a material take-off item.

            1. From the Operator dropdown, select Range.

            2. From the From dropdown, select the first value of the range.

            3. From the To dropdown, select the last value of the range.
