Apply suggested locations to a delivery note position

Apply AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management suggested locations to a delivery note position.

The AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management suggests a location as follows:

• When a received item includes a default location in the material catalog, and that location exists within the destination site, then that location is suggested.

• If no valid default location applies, the location within the destination site that contains the highest stock level of the item is suggested.

• When an item does not exist on the site, then a location is not suggested.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

1. Ensure you have the Can Create Locations or Full Access UI rights to the s60028 Stock item Delivery Registration screen. For more information on how to define UI access rights, see Assign UI rights to a user role.

2. For a delivery note, in the General tab, in the Receipt Status field, ensure the value is not READY or RECEIVED.

3. For a delivery note, in the Position grid, perform one of the following:

   • For a delivery note of receipt type Free Receipt, in the Free Issue Material tab, in the Free Issue Material grid, in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.

   • For a delivery note of receipt type PO/MMT Receipt, in the Po Items tab, in the Po items grid, in the Material Details tab in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.

   • For a delivery note of receipt type Shipping Note Receipt, in the Site Transfer tab, in the Site Transfer grid, in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.

To apply suggested locations to a delivery note position

4. Navigate to the s60028 Stock item Delivery Registration screen.

5. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

6. In the Delivery Note grid, select a row.

7. In the Position grid, perform one of the following:

   • If the receipt type of the delivery note is PO/MMT Receipt, in Po Items tab, in the Po Items grid, select a row.

   • If the receipt type of the delivery note is Shipping Note Receipt, in the Site Transfer tab, in the Site Transfer grid, select a row.

   • If the receipt type of the delivery note is Free Receipt, in the Free Issue Material tab, in the Free Issue Material grid, select a row.

8. In the General tab, select either the Storehouse dropdown or the Location dropdown.

9. On the s60028 menu, in the Receipt Locations group, select Apply Suggested Locations.

   For the selected delivery note position, the suggested values are updated in the Storehouse and Location fields, in the General tab.

10. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
