A Request For Quote (RFQ) header contains the identification details of an RFQ, such as RFQ ID, external and internal status of an RFQ, related supplier information, tender details, and so on. You can also create an RFQ header by directly transferring a Technical Material Requisition (TMR) to the s50019 Request for Quote screen, through the s50017 Buyers Queue screen. For more information, see Transfer TMR items to an RFQ.

  1. Navigate to the s50019 Request for Quote screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

In the Request for Quote Header grid, a blank row is created.

  4. Select the General tab and perform the following:

    1. From the Project dropdown, select the ID of the project for which you want to create an RFQ.

    2. In the Title field, enter a title for the RFQ.

    3. From the Approver dropdown, select the ID of the user responsible for approving the RFQ.

  5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s50019 Field descriptions.

  6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The RFQ header is created.
