View and maintain a list of predefined material categories. In AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management, different types of materials such as standard materials, project components, fabricates, plates, profiles, and so on are defined in distinct catalogues. The system uses the ID of a material category to link each material type to the corresponding catalogue. For example, if the ID of a material category is S (standard material), then the material category is associated to the standard material catalogue in different screens throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.
