When you create a standard material, the default External Status of the material is Preliminary. To use the standard material in other screens, change the external status to Fully Validated.
-
Navigate to the s20011 Standard Materials screen.
-
To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.
-
In the Standard Material grid, select a row.
-
On the s20011 menu, in the Status group, from the External Status dropdown, select one of the following:
-
Preliminary: Indicates the default status of the standard material. At the Preliminary stage, the standard material is not available for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.
-
Fully Validated: Indicates the standard material is available for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.
-
Not to be Used: Indicates the standard material is not available for use due to a temporary restriction (the supply of materials is restricted or alternatives are being evaluated) or a permanent hold (the material is obsolete). If the standard material is already assigned to a Part List (PL) or a Purchase Order (PO), you can continue to use the standard material. However, the standard material is not available for addition to any new PL or PO.
-
Ready For Delete: Indicates you can delete the standard material in case a clean up of the reference data is performed. At the Ready For Delete stage, the standard material is not available for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management.

-
(Optional) To revert the status update, on the s20011 menu, in the Status group, select Revert.
-
On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The External Status of the standard material is updated.
