A general Material Take-Off (MTO) line consists of two levels of project breakdown structures: construction area and material control section. A general MTO line contains the identification details of the general MTO required for a material control section within a construction area. The details include the related drawing discipline, construction area, material control section, version, drawing, and so on. Each MTO line is related to a list of MTO items required for construction activities.

  1. Navigate to the s22041 General MTO screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

In the MTO Lines grid, a row is created.

  5. Select the General tab and perform the following:

    1. From the Discipline dropdown, select the ID of a drawing discipline for a general MTO line.

    2. From the Construction Area dropdown, select the ID of a construction area for the general MTO line.

    3. From the Material Control Section dropdown, select the ID of a material control section for the general MTO line.

    4. From the MTO Type dropdown, select the ID of the required MTO type.

  6. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s22041 Field descriptions.

  7. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

The general MTO line is created.
