Set a piping MTO line to on hold state

Set a piping Material Take-Off (MTO) line to the on hold state to indicate that some or all the piping MTO items are not ready for requisition or purchase due to design changes, requirement changes, and so on.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

  • Ensure you save all the changes in the s22040 Piping MTO screen.

  • For a piping MTO line, in the MTO Lines grid, in the General tab, in the MTO Status field, ensure the value is Working or Confirmed.

To set a piping MTO line to on hold state

  1. Navigate to the s22040 Piping MTO screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the MTO Lines grid, select a row.

    On the s22040 menu, in the Workflow group, from the OnHold dropdown, select Entire MTO On Hold.

    The d0328 On Hold Reason dialog appears.

  5. In the d0328 On Hold Reason dialog, in the On Hold Reason field, enter the reason for the on hold state of the piping MTO line.

  6. Select Yes.

    In the MTO Lines grid, in the General tab, the On Hold Reason field is updated for the selected piping MTO line.

    In the MTO Items grid, for each row, in the General tab, the On Hold Reason field is updated. Additionally, for each row, the value in the Working Quantity field is copied to the Engineering On Hold Qty field.

  7. To save the changes, on the Home mlenu, in the Record group, select Save.
