Apply supply responsibility to a piping MTO line

  • Last UpdatedMay 07, 2026

A supply responsibility rule defines the default setting for the For Construction and the For Requisition checkboxes of a piping Material Take-Off (MTO) item, as defined in the s21018 Supply Responsibility Matrix screen. For example, you can define a rule that all materials used at a specific site is to be purchased and handled entirely by a subcontractor. Based on the supply responsibility rule defined in the Supply Responsibility field, the For Construction and the For Requisition checkboxes of the piping MTO item are updated. If no rule applies to a piping MTO item, then no updates are made for the item.

  1. Navigate to the s22040 Piping MTO screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the MTO Lines grid, select a row.

  5. On the s22040 menu, in the Options group, select Apply Supply Responsibility.

In the MTO Items grid, in the General tab, the For Construction and the For Requisition checkboxes of all the piping MTO items related to the selected piping MTO line are updated.
