Issue a non-release certificate for an inspection visit

If an item in an inspection release visit fails inspection, you can issue a Non-Release Certificate (NRC) for the item. After NRC, you can allocate the item to another inspection visit. If an item that fails inspection is urgently required for construction, you can ship the item and you can inspect the item again after remedial work.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, complete the following:

In the Inspection Visits grid, in the General tab, ensure the Release checkbox is selected.

In the Inspection Visits grid, in the General tab, ensure the status of the inspection visit is Open or Locked.
To issue a non-release certificate for an inspection visit

Navigate to the s52006 Inspection Visits screen.

In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the project related to an inspection visit.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

In the Inspection Visit grid, select a row.

In the Expediting Items grid, select the Allocated tab, and select a row.

Select the General tab, in the Non Release Certificate field, enter the unique ID of the certificate of the item that did not pass inspection.
Note: To issue an NRC for multiple items, repeat steps 5 and 6.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
In the Expedite Items grid, in the Allocated tab, in the General tab, the NRC field is updated for the selected item.
