Create a work item

A work item indicates a material non-conformance in design, goods receipt, or material production. Create and maintain a list of general and context specific work items.

  1. Navigate to the s61011 Work Item Overview screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

    In the Work Item grid, a row is created.

  4. Select the General tab and perform the following:

    1. From the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

    2. From the Context dropdown, select the ID of a context code for the work item.

    3. From the System dropdown, select the ID of a system for the work item.

    4. From the Site Id dropdown, select the ID of a site for the work item.

    5. From the Cause dropdown, select the ID of a cause code for the work item.

    6. From the Process dropdown, select the ID of a process code for the work item.

    7. From the Discipline dropdown, select the ID of a discipline code for the work item.

    8. From the Defect dropdown, select the ID of a defect code for the work item.

    9. From the Disposition dropdown, select the ID of a disposition code for the work item.

  5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s61011 Field descriptions.

  6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The work item is created.
