Create a transport package

A transport package is a collection of purchase order items shipped to a site by a supplier. There are two types of packages:

  • Package: Indicates a package is a single package with items.

  • Consolidation Package: Indicates a package is a consolidated package that contains items and other packages.

To create a transport package

  1. Navigate to the s51010 Transport Package screen.

  2. In the Project Selection control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

    In the Package grid, a row is created.

  5. Select the General tab, in the Package Description field, enter the description of the package.

  6. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s51010 Field descriptions.

  7. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The transport package is created.
