Split an expedite item

Split an expedite item into two separate items. For example, you can split an expedite item when you want to ship the items in different Material Movement Tickets (MMTs). You can also split an expedite item when the purchase order position related to the expedite item is updated with a quantity that does not match the quantity of the expedite item. The new expedite item contains the same values as the original expedite item except the MMT.

Before you split an expedite item, ensure the expedite item is not related to any supplementary items.

1. Navigate to the s51004 Expediting screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. In the Expedite Header grid, select a row.

4. In the Expedite Items grid, select the Exp Items tab, and then select a row.

5. On the s51004 menu, in the Actions group, from the Handling of Items dropdown, select Split Expedite Items.

   In the Expedite Items grid, a copy of the selected expedite item is created.

6. Select the new expedite item, in the Exp Qty field, enter the required quantity.

   You can manually distribute the requested quantity between the two expedite items you split.

7. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s51004 Field descriptions.

8. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
